Attention F.J. Byrne
Dear Sirs:
Our proposed Western New York Chapter of the Human Factors Society held
its third meeting in Buffalo on March 17, 1966. This was the first
meeting at which the newly elected state of officers presided. The new
officers are: |
|
| |
President: |
Melvin Rudov |
|
| |
President-Elect: |
Harry L. Davis |
|
| |
Vice President: |
Carl von Sternberg |
|
| |
Treasurer: |
B. Richard Bernstein |
|
| |
Secretary: |
Terrence W. Faulkner |
|
| |
Harry Davis spoke on the application of human factors techniques to the
study of industrial work. He showed how measures such as heart rate and
oxygen consumption can be used in the design of jobs or in determining
the ability of specific individuals to do certain jobs.
We
hope to have all of the materials that are needed to justify our
admission as a chapter of the Human Factors Society together and in the
mail within a few weeks. We are still picking up new members and the
prospects for our Western New York Chapter look very bright. |
|
| |
Sincerely,
Terrence W. Faulkner
